Mr Tom Harvieux joined Sanford Health based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2008.  As head of Supply Chain Management, he is responsible for enterprise-wide supply chain strategy, operations and clinical integration. This includes responsibility for the $1.1 billion non-labor spend of the company that supports 43 hospitals and 260 clinics across nine US States and five countries.  Tom was named one of the “Top 10 People to Watch in 2011” by the Journal of Healthcare Contracting.

Mr Harvieux has a passion for supply chain management and the integration with clinical operations to reduce the logistical burden of caregivers and provide patients with high quality and affordable care through reduction in clinical practice variation, utilisation management, collaboration with industry partners, and streamlined supply chain operations.

Prior to joining Sanford Health, he held the position of Director, Supply Chain Operations with Fairview Health Systems in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Previously, he retired from the military where he specialised in Strategic and Logistical Operations.

Mr Harvieux earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Minnesota Metropolitan State University and his Master of Science degree in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology.
