As COO of the 1000-bed Changi General Hospital (CGH), Peter is responsible for the smooth, effective and efficient operations of the hospital including management of resources.  He is also responsible for integrating operations and programs to provide timely and appropriate care to patients.  Peter is also very involved in working with external partners and healthcare institutions to facilitate smooth transition of patients to post hospitalisation and intermediate long term care programs.

Prior to joining healthcare sector, Peter pursued a career in the Singapore Armed Forces where he held various senior leadership, staff and training positions.  Peter was instrumental in the transformation of the logistics organisation, integrating various domains leveraging on network and information technology.  He was also instrumental in extending operational knowledge into training by exploring learning sciences and introduced various learning methodologies into the Army.

Peter graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring Sociology and Psychology, and obtained a Master of Science in Transport Systems Management, both from National University of Singapore.  He is also a member of the Advisory Board for Engineering Systems & Design Pillar of Singapore University of Technology and Design.
