Synopsis

The topic will focus on the SingHealth experience in developing leaders to drive its Public Healthcare mission. The leadership development principles and frameworks employed in public healthcare are very similar to that used in the private sector and other industries. However, the context of public healthcare and the relative scarcity of leadership talent - arguably more that what the private sector faces - has forced a careful thinking through of what works, and what needs to be adapted to make it work for SingHealth.

Mr Peter Tan will primarily share about the SingHealth experience of identifying, developing, engaging and retaining such leaders, and also raise questions about what more needs to be done to ensure there is adequate pipeline of healthcare leaders in Singapore.
