Biographical Sketch

Mr Lee On Nam
has been with Resorts World Sentosa since April 2012. He has consolidated and synergised its support operations such as Facilities Management, Building Enhancement, Aviation, Procurement and Logistics etc. into a single Business unit called Resort Services. He has taken on additional responsibilities in F&B and Hotels.

Prior to this, he was working in the Semiconductor Wafer Fab industry for 16 years as Vice President (Corporate Services) at Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company, one of the most profitable Wafer Fab in Singapore. His responsibilities included Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Engineering, Housekeeping, Logistics and Procurement.

Mr Lee also has 7 years of experience in the healthcare industry. While SGH was undergoing restructuring, he was in charge of Facilities Management and Development. At Parkway Healthcare Group, he was the Group Senior Manager who was responsible for the consolidation of the Engineering and Bio Medical Engineering of their three Hospitals.

Mr Lee has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK)  as well as a degree in Finance and Accounting ( University of London, UK). He was a member OF SBF Business Continuity Management (BCM) committee that developed the SS540 Standard. He was also a Committee Member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore, that approves the membership for  Singapore Certified Energy Manager(SCEM). In addition, he also holds several professional memberships including Senior Member (Institution of Engineer (Singapore), Chartered Electrical Engineer (UK) and  Chartered Engineer (Australia).

HM 5 - Operational Excellence: A Personal Perspective

In his presentation, Mr Lee will share his perspectives on Operational Excellence (OE) based on his practical operational experience as well as his experience working in very diverse industries and huge organisations in the last 30 years.

He will cover critical components of OE such as its key elements, organisational values and culture and the tools and initiatives available to drive OE. He will also share what motivates him to drive excellence.
