Biographical Sketch


Ms. Jennifer Rose joined the Performance Services department at Duke University Health System in 2006.  She is responsible for management engineering support provided to Duke University Hospital and manages the University HealthSystem Consortium program for the health system.  Prior to joining DUHS, Jennifer was a management consultant for eight years with Premier, Inc.  She earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University and a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She is also an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.


Synopsis

HM 9 - Secrets of Performance Management

With her vast experience in Performance Management, Ms. Jennifer will provide an overview of Performance Management in a healthcare setting, and the benefits of having a Performance Management system, with reference to Duke University Hospital. She will also share insights on the secrets of Performance Management, and highlight how strong data analytics can drive change and improvements in healthcare.


HM 14 - Organisational Excellence at Duke University Hospital

Mr. William and Ms. Jennifer will lead a session titled “Organisational Excellence at Duke University Hospital”. The presenters will provide an overview of the Duke University Hospital’s performance management processes, including how the organisation sets priorities, manages and monitors performance, and improves performance on an ongoing basis. They will also provide an overview of the key resources needed to support the process and how Performance Services department is structured to support Duke University Hospital to achieve organisational excellence.

Performance Services Office is a diverse group of engineers, analysts and healthcare professionals dedicated to the measurement, monitoring and improvement of organizational performance across the health system including Duke University Hospital (DUH), Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Duke Specialty Practices and Duke Primary Care.
