Biographical Sketch

Ms Yee Mei Ling
is Chair of the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Pharmacy Clinical Committee since 2014 and is part of the Inpatient Pharmacy collective leadership since 2009. She is the key driver of SGH’s Pharmacy medication reconciliation services and one of the pioneering leaders who developed the Department’s competency framework to assure adoption of standard practices and honing of professional competencies in the continuing development of pharmaceutical staff.   

 

Ms Yee is an accredited Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPS), and was awarded the Master of Clinical Pharmacy by the University of South Australia in 2012.

 

She is actively involved in SGH’s liver transplantation programme, doing daily ward rounds, undertaking medication reconciliation & review; and counselling patients.  She is also actively involved in various collaborative efforts with key leaders of other clinical departments both at the departmental and hospital levels to enhance patient safety and the overall quality of the pharmacy services. Her leadership and management skills have contributed greatly to the provision of safe and excellent patient care.

 

Ms Yee is a member of various national level workgroups, including the National Career Pathway and Competency Workgroup, the Ministry of Health’s National Standards for Pharmacy Services, the Medication Reconciliation National Blueprint Development Committee, and the Medication Review and Reconciliation sub-workgroup under the National Medication Safety Taskforce.
