Mr Dinesh was appointed as Group Director, Operations Group with effect from 20 July 2020 to provide leadership and oversee the translation of the Ministry’s mission and intent into operational strategy and plans, and ensure that they are supported with robust systems, processes and resources for the prevention and control of emerging infectious diseases in Singapore, as well as medical preparedness and response to civil disasters and national emergencies, in order to achieve optimal health outcomes for Singaporeans.

Prior to his role in MOH, Dinesh was the Commander of the 2nd People’s Defence Force in MINDEF. He spent 27 years in the SAF, and assumed key leadership positions, including Director (Information Directorate) between 2014 and 2016, when he drove MINDEF’s communication policy and strategy across the domains of public communications, internal communications and community engagement.
