Ms Yen Tan was appointed Chief Operating Officer, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) in 2012 and Chief Operating Officer, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital & Yishun Health in 2017.

Prior to this appointment, Ms Tan was the Director of Operations, Alexandra Hospital. Ms Tan joined Alexandra Hospital in 2000 and played a key role in the successful restructuring of the hospital. From 2000 to 2010, Ms Tan was rotated to work in Alexandra Hospital’s Clinics, Call Centre, Operational Support Services, Facilities Development, Corporate Communications and Quality Service Management. She also led the Operational Support Services team in designing KTPH’s hospitality and support services.

Ms Tan was a Hospitality graduate and upon graduation, worked with the Singapore Hotel Association Training and Education Centre (SHATEC).

Ms Tan has a Degree in Applied Science (Hospitality) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Queensland Institute of Technology (QUT), Australia. She was also the inaugural recipient of the QUT MBA International Scholarship Award. Ms Tan topped her MBA program and was awarded the QUT MBA Medallion Award.
