Ms Anita Fam, a former lawyer, is a full-time volunteer who has been involved in the social service sector for more than 20 years, both at charity and national level, in the areas of disability, palliative care and mental health. Ms Fam currently serves as Vice President of the National Council of Social Service and is the Chairman of Assisi Hospice and the Enabling Masterplan 3 Steering Committee (Singapore's five-year strategic blueprint for disability for the years 2017 - 2021). 

She sits on various boards and committees, including the Board of Visiting Justices & Board of Inspection, Institute of Mental Health Institutional Committee, Lien Foundation, SAS Foundation Ltd, SG Cares Steering Committee and Singapore Totalisator Board. Also a Justice of the Peace, Ms Fam was conferred the Public Service Star (BBM) in 2014 and the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2008 for her work in the community.
