Presentation Synopsis
Finding Your Inner Self - A Patient's Story

Ms Tallin Ang was born with a cleft lip and palate and has had multiple surgeries since young. Cleft patients undergo long and complex treatments throughout their lives to improve both appearance and function, such as the proper ability to speak, eat and drink. Braving the odds to become a performing singer beyond her full-time job as a healthcare administrator, Ms Ang will share her journey growing up amidst negativity, bullying, rejection and depression to discover her passion and meaning in life.

Embracing the opportunities that performing has brought, Ms Ang hopes to inspire others, particularly cleft patients, by sharing her experience. Hear her perspective as a patient in this sing-and-tell session on how the journey has shaped and defined her character and beliefs.
