A/Prof Peter Lim is a senior consultant, rehabilitation physician and former founding Head of Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He is also Group Chief Risk Officer of SingHealth. He did his postgraduate medical training at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago, US, and is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with subspecialty certification in spinal cord injury medicine.

A/Prof Lim played a major role in the development of Rehabilitation Medicine as a medical specialty in Singapore, and has also long been involved with rehabilitation physician training in the USA, Malaysia, as well as a number of other countries in the region. He is an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a member of the International Advisory Board of the Annals of Rehabilitation Medicine, and is peer reviewer of various medical journals.

His academic appointments include Clinical Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and Adjunct Associate Professor, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. He has been invited speaker at many local and international conferences and medical schools.
