 Presentation Synopsis
GS1 Standards used in Healthcare Supply Chain

GS1 Standards enable full visibility of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, from point of production to point of sales, point of dispense or point of care. Implementation of GS1 Standards ensure maximum interoperability between traceability systems across the healthcare supply chain and borders.

With the recent development of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Regulatory Requirements such as the US Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) and EU Falsified Medicine Directive (FMD), US FDA UDI and EU UDI, an understanding of GS1 Standard will be crucial in assisting organizations to comply to various labeling and traceability requirements while making supply chains more efficient and improving patient safety.
