Presentation Synopsis
Facilitator for HM 19 & 20 Leadership & Development Track

Ms Lim will be facilitating the discussion panel in the Leadership & Development Track of the Singapore Healthcare Management Congress 2019.

The theme for this year is Collaborative Leadership.

The public healthcare industry aims to provide seamless, hassle-free and holistic care for patients across different stages of their healthcare journey.   In order to achieve this, one strategy being adopted to better integrate care across different settings is re-organising our healthcare system into Regional Health Systems (RHS). Each RHS will comprise different key players in the healthcare eco-system working across the patient care journey;  we will expect to see acute general hospitals working closely with community hospitals, nursing homes, home care and day rehab providers, as well as polyclinics and private General Practitioners in geographic regions.    Such integration requires collaborative leadership and trust to make it happen.

This topic on Collaborative Leadership comes in timely given our evolving healthcare landscape, which demands a different kind of leadership that transcends boundaries, transcends the traditional hierarchies and seeks collaborations amongst different players in the healthcare eco-system.
